Any diet that reduces your overall calorie intake can help you lose weight. If you want to lose weight and keep it off, you need to find a diet that includes foods you enjoy and fits your lifestyle. The Dinner Canceling Diet and the Warrior Diet are diets that can help you lose weight but may not be the perfect diet for everyone.
Dinner Canceling Diet
As its name implies, the Dinner Canceling diet basically cancels your dinner meal. It aims to reduce your calorie intake by preventing you from eating after 4 p.m. After your last meal at 4 p.m., you can only drink calorie-free, non-alcoholic beverages, such as water or herbal tea. If you need to eat something, you can have an apple or a glass of milk with honey. The diet is not overly strict and for social occasions allows eating after 4 p.m. twice a week.
Warrior Diet
The Warrior Diet is almost the opposite of the Dinner Canceling Diet. On the Warrior Diet you are expected to fast all day and consume all of your calories at night, eating one large evening meal. The premise of this diet is based on the "historic" warrior who was unable to eat during the day when hunting and protecting his clan and could only eat at night while resting. Like the Dinner Canceling Diet, the Warrior Diet helps you reduce your calorie intake by forcing you to fast for prolonged periods.
Preference
Both diets can help you lose weight as long as you consume fewer calories than your body needs. Choosing one plan over the other depends on your lifestyle and preference. However, health organizations such as the American Academy of Family Physicians say most people should eat at least three meals and one snack a day. Eating at regular intervals helps control hunger and maintains energy levels.
Healthy Diet Plan
When it comes to weight loss, it is important that your plan include some basics for good health. A good weight-loss diet plan should include a variety of nutrient-rich foods, such as fruits, vegetables, grains, lean proteins and low-fat dairy products and should encourage regular physical activity. If you’re not sure what diet works best, talk to your doctor, or consult with a registered dietitian to help you design a plan based on your individual preferences and lifestyle.
